January 24 MMFC fundraiser at Mi Cocina

Marcus Boys soccer fundraiser night at Mi Cocina on Wednesday, January 24th from 4pm – 8 pm.

MMFC receives 15% of all sales!

MMFC Volunteers help rebuild Houston

MMFC Players, Parents and Coaches went to Houston on their day off to help Church on the Rock Katy.

The Church and School were flooded 3 feet after the storm when the water was released from the reserve. There was no notice, so as the flooding was occurring, the church and school members were attempting to move important things to save them from the water damage. One of those things was a Futsal Court, that serves as a gym, an outreach to the youth, and Futsal Leagues/Tournaments. They collected the floor, which is fit together like a giant puzzle. The floor was wet and had to be sanitized and then assembled. MMFC Players, along with some amazing coaches and parents, were able to get that done, which ensured that school could resume for them on Monday. They also, cleared debris and trash, vacuumed dry wall dust, cleaned and sanitized floors, floated floors, gardened, etc.  The Players, Parents and Coaches were a great help and relief to the Church. They worked hard and had a lot of fun doing it. Also, a big “Shout Out” to YMCA in Katy who allowed them all to shower in their gym for free, which allowed a pleasant drive home from Houston.
